HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) – A former Dothan firefighter paramedic accused of theft and computer tampering from two separate arrests was arrested again this week.

On Wednesday, Houston County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jesse Taylor and charged him with four counts of theft.

Last year, Taylor pleaded guilty to stealing fentanyl in 2022 from the Dothan Fire Department, where he worked as a firefighter paramedic.

While out on bond for his first theft charge, Taylor was arrested again along with a Dothan city officer. He was accused of tampering with the statewide first responder alert system by redirecting sensitive messages and information to his device. He also pleaded guilty to these charges in 2023.

Taylor will appear before Houston County Judge Christopher Richardson on June 18 to discuss the possibility of probation on his original charge.
