Suspects identified in Grayson County theft investigation

LEITCHFIELD, Kentucky – One person has been charged and another is wanted by authorities in connection with a theft case in Grayson County.

According to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Timothy P. Polston, 38, of Caneyville, Kentucky, and Anthony G. Frank, 54, of Caneyville, were identified as suspects in an investigation into theft and vandalism of power lines that began in January.

Officials said the Windstream communications cable was stolen and damaged in the western part of Grayson County, disrupting Windstream service throughout the Caneyville area.

According to lawmakers, the damage and repair efforts to restore service have cost Windstream and its customers more than $100,000.

Polston already had an arrest warrant issued for violating probation. Both suspects were indicted by a Grayson County grand jury on charges of theft by unlawful misappropriation between $1,000 and $10,000, first-degree criminal damage and interference with communications.

According to deputies, Frank has still not been found.
