Woman found shot dead in Westchase apartment after police said man may have forced his way in

HOUSTON – A woman was found dead in an apartment in Houston’s Westchase neighborhood Tuesday night.

Lt. Larry Crowson of the Houston Police Department said officers were called to an apartment complex near the corner of Westpark and S. Gessner around 8 p.m. for reports of a shooting and disturbance.

When officers arrived, they entered a residential unit and found a dead woman with multiple gunshot wounds.

Crowson said a man may have forced his way into the apartment before the shooting occurred.

Police are currently looking for witnesses and searching the area for surveillance videos.
