Police investigate several crime scenes in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – On Sunday evening, police were seen investigating crime scenes on two different streets in Providence.

The first scene took place at Cranston Street and Messer Street, the other just a few minutes away at Comstock Avenue and Taylor Street.

Video from a 12 News crew on the scene on Comstock Avenue around 8:45 p.m. showed police placing an evidence marker on the ground and taking photos.

Parts of the streets were also cordoned off with police tape.

A third incident occurred in the city on Sunday evening. It was a stabbing that is currently being investigated by the criminal police.

12 News has reached out to Providence Police for more information on the other crime scenes.
