NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A man was arrested after allegedly throwing a brick into a French Quarter establishment and hitting the owner with a railroad spike on Saturday, June 29.

NOPD officials said a business owner in the 800 block of Decatur Street confronted 44-year-old Leif Rosell after he allegedly threw a brick through the business’s window at around 12:56 p.m.

Rosell and the bar owner then got into an argument during which Rosell allegedly pulled out a railroad nail and hit the victim on the head with it.

According to NOPD, the victim was taken to a hospital for “suffering head trauma” and Rosell was arrested.

The NOPD did not release any further information.
