Motorcyclist dies in accident outside Mercy Hospital

A motorcyclist died in a multi-vehicle crash outside Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh’s Bluff neighborhood Wednesday evening.

An emergency medical team performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on Donte J. Hairston, 33, of Clairton, before he was taken to the hospital following the accident.

Pittsburgh police said a vehicle collided with Hairston’s motorcycle at the intersection of Boulevard of the Allies and Marion Street. According to police, a second vehicle was also hit in the first accident.

First responders were alerted to the accident shortly after 9:30 p.m

Police said the driver of the first vehicle refused medical attention and no one in the second vehicle was injured.

Pittsburgh police are investigating.
