Weather warning for the day: rain showers, a few strong storms, improvement on Sunday

TORNADO WARNING IN EASTERN OHIO UNTIL 8 PM


A tornado warning is in effect for Coshocton, Muskingum, Guernsey and Noble counties until 8 p.m.

Low pressure is moving eastward into southeastern Canada. Rainbands and some strong thunderstorms will move through the region this afternoon and early evening in a warm, muggy environment. Cloudy skies will keep temperatures around 30 degrees.

Skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy tonight, with a final round of showers and a few thunderstorms, with the cold front ending before daybreak. Temperatures will only drop to the low 70s.

The second half of the weekend will be cooler and drier, which will be noticeable as humidity drops in a northwesterly airflow on Sunday afternoon. A high pressure system will form over the region south of Canada.

The maximum temperatures on Sunday and Monday will only reach just over 25 degrees, the minimum temperatures on Monday and Tuesday will be between 13 and 15 degrees.

From the middle of the week it will get warmer again, on Wednesday there is a possibility of some showers and thunderstorms.
