Atlantic City man convicted of sexually abusing five-year-old girl

An Atlantic City man was found guilty of sexually abusing a five-year-old girl in her home in 2022.

According to authorities, 41-year-old Oscar Oberlino Gomez Miralda was in a relationship with the victim’s mother and was living with them at the time of the incident.

The assault was discovered after the woman installed a camera to film her daughter’s bedroom while she was at work.

Gomez Miralda now faces a prison sentence of 25 years without the possibility of parole.

Before he can be sentenced, authorities say it must first be investigated whether he is at risk of committing another crime.
