Fayetteville Deputy Police Chief Arrested and Suspended for DUI

BREAKING NEWS – A FAYETTEVILLE POLICE OFFICER IS ON ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE AFTER BEING ARRESTED OVERNIGHT. FAYETTEVILLE DEPUTY POLICE CHIEF BRADLEY RENFRO WAS ARRESTED OVERNIGHT BY THE ARKANSAS STATE POLICE FOR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE. A FAYETTEVILLE POLICE STATEMENT DESCRIBES THAT HE WAS STOPPED LAST NIGHT AT AROUND 10:40 FOR A DEFECTIVE HEADLIGHT. HE WAS THEN TAKEN TO THE WASHINGTON COUNTY DETENTION CENTER ON A CHARGE OF DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE. HE WAS RELEASED ON $1,000 BAIL.

Fayetteville Deputy Police Chief Bradley Renfro was placed on leave after being arrested for drunken driving Tuesday night.

Fayetteville Assistant Police Chief Bradley Renfro has been placed on administrative leave after being arrested for drunken driving Tuesday night. A Fayetteville Police press release said he was stopped by Arkansas State Police in Fayetteville at 10:41 p.m. for a defective headlight. He was then taken to the Washington County Detention Center where he was charged with drunken driving, refusal to submit to a chemical test and a defective headlight. He was released on $1,105 bail at 3:58 a.m. Thursday morning. Arkansas State Police are investigating. Renfro remains on administrative leave pending the investigation.

He was subsequently taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was charged with drunk driving, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and having a defective headlight.

He was released on $1,105 bail at 3:58 a.m. Thursday morning.

The Arkansas State Police are conducting an investigation. Renfro remains on leave during the investigation.
