Oshkosh police investigate death on railroad tracks

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – Oshkosh Police are investigating after a man was killed in a collision with a train in Oshkosh.

According to a press release, officers were dispatched to the train tracks on E. Parkway Avenue on a report of a man being struck by a northbound train around 7 p.m. Sunday.

At the scene of the accident, officers found a 23-year-old man who had been hit by the train. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information has been released.

The train is currently being held at the scene for investigation, meaning the tracks south of E. Parkway to E. 15th Avenue are currently closed.
