Colorado Bureau of Investigation and Alamosa Police Department search for suspect accused in hotel shooting

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the Alamosa Police Department are searching for a suspect in a shooting at a hotel early Sunday morning.

According to Alamosa Police, officers responded to a report of shots fired at the Sunset Inn Hotel around 2:04 a.m. Officers arrived on scene to find three people shot. Henry Corral, who was initially considered a suspect, had fled the scene and caused an accident on County Road 106 and 12 South.

According to Alamosa police, Corral attempted to steal a car but then fled on foot, prompting a search and a 911 call in the area.

According to Alamosa police, police issued an update Sunday evening that the search by U.S. Marshals and CBI had expanded to County Road 10S south to County Road 15S and County Road 106S west into Rio Grande and Conejos counties.

A warrant was issued for Corral’s arrest for two counts of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree murder, tampering with evidence, possession of a weapon by a prior offender and attempted aggravated robbery.
