Ocala man arrested for suspected armed robbery at gas station

Ocala Police have arrested an Ocala man after he allegedly robbed a gas station convenience store at gunpoint. According to Ocala Police, 22-year-old Johnisaac Felix can be seen on surveillance video from the Marathon Market at 3620 E Silver Springs Blvd. taking money from the cash register and holding the clerk at gunpoint. The robbery occurred on Sunday, June 16. After the robbery, Felix was seen by officers attempting to change clothes outside a nearby church. Officers attempted to stop him, but Felix fled. Felix was later found at the Ocala Municipal Golf Course and arrested after an officer used a taser to subdue him. A handgun and cash were found on Felix at the time of his arrest. Felix is ​​now charged with robbery with a firearm and resisting an officer without the use of force.
