Tribal police investigate bodies found in car near El Corral Motel in Toppenish | News

TOPPENISH, Wash. – The bodies of two members of the Yakama Nation were found Friday in a car in the parking lot of the El Corral Motel in Toppenish.

Captain Jon Schwarder of the Toppenish Police Department said a call came in shortly before 11 a.m. reporting the bodies.

After a brief investigation, the TPD determined that the bodies were members of the Yakama Nation.

Schwarder says the cause of death is currently unknown. The investigation has been turned over to tribal police and the FBI.
