Three people from northwest Kansas in hospital after SUV rollover accident

LOGAN COUNTY – Three people were injured in a crash in Logan County shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Dodge Durango driven by Steven Leroy Albers, 49, of Winona, traveling west on U.S. 40, about five miles west of Kansas 25.

The rear passenger tire blew out. The SUV went onto the north shoulder and the driver lost control of the vehicle. It crossed both lanes, began to roll over as it reached the south ditch, and came to a stop in a field.

Emergency medical services took Albers and passengers Colleen Weaver, 68, Winona, to Logan County Hospital and Andrea Kay Albers, 44, Winona, to Citizens Medical Center. Albers and the two passengers were not wearing seat belts, according to KHP.
