Teenager killed in quad bike accident in Laurel County

LONDON, Kentucky (WATE) – A teenager died and another was injured in an ATV accident in Laurel County, Kentucky on Tuesday.

According to Sheriff John Root, the accident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. on Nineva Road, about nine kilometers east of London.

Investigators reported that a quad bike with two male passengers, ages 13 and 14, lost control and went off the road.

The 14-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. The 13-year-old was injured and taken to a local hospital for further treatment. The identities of the victims have not been released.
