Sexual abuse: Man sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexually abusing a minor boy | Thane News

Thane: A boy, who was 12 at the time of the incident, testified in court against a 45-year-old who had anally abused him in Bhayandar area in 2020. The statement led to conviction and the man was sentenced to 10 years of hard labour. The judge, DS Deshmukh, observed that “the act of sexual assault should send a clear message to the society at large that offenders in such cases will be dealt with with an iron hand”. According to the prosecution, the assault took place on July 26, 2020, at the accused’s house in Bhayander (W). The accused took the victim to his home, showed her obscene videos and had “sexual intercourse against the natural order” with the child. The prosecution examined six witnesses. – Nishikant Karlikar
