Pedestrian killed in accident at Dockweiler State Beach

A pedestrian was killed in an accident near Dockweiler State Beach on Saturday.

The circumstances leading up to the incident are still unclear, but according to Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 12200 block of Vista Del Mar around 5:45 p.m. after learning that a car had struck a person in the area.

He stated that one person was killed in the crash, but did not provide any information about the victim’s age or gender.

The accident is not being investigated as a hit-and-run, Im said.
