Suspect arrested in connection with shooting of teenager in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Kansas – Lawrence police have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy earlier this week.

Lawrence police announced Friday that 18-year-old Cir Allen Glover is in jail and faces charges of malicious wounding in connection with the death of Isaiah Neal.

Lawrence police officers responded to the shooting shortly after 1:15 a.m. Thursday on Alabama Street between W. 24th and W. 25th.

At the crime scene, officers found the victim with numerous gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The police department said information received led officers to Miami County. The Lawrence Police Department and the Miami County Sheriff’s Office worked together throughout the night to follow up on leads and ensure the safety of everyone involved in the arrest.

According to police, Glover surrendered without incident.
