Man killed in motorcycle crash in Beadle County identified

BEADLE COUNTY, SD (KELO) — Authorities have identified the person killed in a car crash near Bonilla, South Dakota on June 7.

The South Dakota Department of Public Safety said 66-year-old John M. Wenzel was riding a motorcycle southbound on U.S. 281. Wenzel veered onto the southbound shoulder, lost control of his motorcycle and ended up in the westbound ditch. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
