Nina Dobrev reveals why she had to undergo surgery

Nina Dobrev, 35, made her first public appearance since her accident on CBS’s “The Talk” on Wednesday, June 12. She confirmed to the hosts that she enjoyed getting ready and found an excuse to finally leave the house.

When asked about her accident, the Canadian actress admitted without hesitation that it was her “first time” riding a dirt bike and the trip just went wrong. “I don’t recommend it, guys. It’s OK, I learned my lesson: never get on a dirt bike. I had a wheelie, lost control, the whiskey throttled, the bike flew,” Dobrev said.

She said she was lucky the bike didn’t land on her, otherwise she would have suffered “worse” injuries. “But when I landed, I landed on one leg, straight, and my knee was like broken,” the “Out-Laws” actor added.

As for entertainment, the actress talked about binge-watching the 2014 comedy-drama series Fargo and having her boyfriend and Olympic gold medalist Shaun White provide live entertainment, as seen in one of her recent Instagram posts. Since her accident, Dobrev joked in her Sunday post that her gallery is full of pictures of her legs since her life has been looking “a little different” lately.

“You know, when you can’t leave your bedroom, you either watch TV or enjoy live entertainment. That’s my live entertainment,” the actress joked on the talk show.

Nina Dobrev will return to acting and lead the cast of the upcoming mystery comedy Reunion once she has fully recovered from her injuries, according to Screen Rant.
