The trial of the 36-year-old Scotsman began on Tuesday at London’s Wood Green Crown Court. He is accused of a series of sexual offences against five women and the rape of three of them over a ten-year period between 2013 and 2023.

The court heard that Wild had told a woman he is accused of raping that he liked the idea of having sex with a mannequin or doll.

36-year-old former Spandau Ballet singer Ross William Wild is accused of raping three women and filming himself molesting his victims while they slept.
Wild (third from left), who replaced Tony Hadley as singer of the 1980s band in 2018 before being sacked 11 months later, was arrested by officers at his home on March 30, 2021.

It is alleged that Wild filmed himself raping the first woman in his flat in Finchley, north London, in October 2013 after they had an argument.

Prosecutor Richard Hearden told the court that another woman had told police she had no idea he had filmed himself groping her breasts.

Another attack is said to have occurred in May 2018 in Cannes, France, where the musician had travelled to the film festival.

Mr Hearden described the incident as “bizarre and perverse” as he told the court that Wild fondled the woman’s breasts while she was sleeping.

He is accused of raping a fourth woman in his home and filming a sex act on her without her consent. Wild said she treated her like a “sex slave.”

The court was told that after the rape, she went into his bathroom, where she called her mother and whispered to her that she had been hurt.

Mr Hearnden said: “If these things are true, the defendant was an extremely manipulative and sadistic person.”

“She was used as a kind of sex slave. He wanted to have sexual intercourse with her five or six times a night.

“When she said it was too much, he forced her to have sex with him.”

A fifth woman lived in his home in 2015 after meeting the star three years earlier on dating website Plenty of Fish, the court heard.

Mr Hearden said she woke up in his bed to find Wild having sex with her in her sleep.

Jurors were told that Wild – whose real name is Ross Davidson – had a “darker” and “sinister” side, with fantasies of having sex with women while they slept.

Wild replaced Tony Hadley as singer of the 1980s band in 2018, following a successful West End career including appearances in We Will Rock You and Million Dollar Quartet.

He was fired 11 months after joining the band.

Wild was arrested by officers at his home on March 30, 2021 and questioned about one of the alleged rapes, two of the sexual assaults, and the videos.

However, he denied the allegations and said that “everything was consensual between him and the women in question.”

He denies three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault, one count of voyeurism, one count of intimidation and one count of controlling behavior.

The process continues.
