Larry Nassar allegedly pays gang members with “sexual favors”

Child molester and disgraced sports doctor Larry Nassar relied on his gang members for protection — paying them cash and “sexual favors” — while he rotted in a Florida federal prison, an inmate claimed.

Around June 2021, Nassar, 60, was seen entering a cell at the federal prison in Sumter County, Florida, with members of a Mexican gang, according to Grace Pinson, an inmate who was incarcerated with Nassar at the maximum security prison.

While the men were in the cell, the door was closed and the windows were covered. This happens when inmates are having sex or taking drugs, Pinson told The Post in a phone interview from Allenwood, Pennsylvania, where the now transgender inmate is currently incarcerated.

In Nassar’s case, “it was definitely not about drugs,” she claimed.

“Larry Nassar decided that sucking cock was a better way to stay alive,” said Pinson, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2005 for sending a threatening letter to then-President George W. Bush.

The prisoner described Nassar, who sexually abused hundreds of gymnasts, including Olympians Simone Biles and Gabby Douglas, as a “frightened little church mouse” who only left her prison housing unit to attend chapel.

There she talked to him, including about the thugs he hired.

“He wished he didn’t need those guys,” she recalled Nassar saying. “In some ways, what they expected of him was worse than the thought of being stabbed and killed.”

During his five years in Coleman, Nassar allegedly paid Mexican gang members “a few hundred dollars a month” for their protection, Pinson claimed.

The inmate insisted that she learned about Nassar’s hired protection from the gang members she associated with in prison.

She claimed she also saw her cellmate’s phone being used by the gangsters for drug deals and discussing other business.

Pinson believes they forced Nassar to perform “sexual favors” to avenge his abuse of little girls – “to humiliate and degrade Larry Nassar.”

“Making Larry Nassar suck your cock in prison is a perverse way of getting back at him for what he did to those women.”

The paid protection, however, was not enough to save Nassar from a near-fatal attack last year. In July, fellow inmate Shane McMillan stabbed the serial sex offender multiple times in his cell after Nassar reportedly said he wanted to stare at female tennis players at Wimbledon.

“You’re not going to risk your life for Larry Nassar for a few hundred dollars,” Pinson joked about the corrupt doctor’s hired guards.

The evil doctor has since been transferred to a federal prison in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.

Bureau of Prisons spokesman Scott Taylor declined to comment on Pinson’s allegations about Nassar.

Nassar declined an interview request.

Jose Rojas, the former president of the Coleman prison guards’ union who retired in December, questioned Pinson’s prison history and claimed Nassar was held in a “get-out unit” considered safer than general incarceration.

“This is one of those places where, as an inmate, you want to go to the unit because everything is quiet,” Rojas said, adding that he believes he has heard from inmates that gang members have pressured Nassar.

The former sports doctor for USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University sexually abused more than 250 girls and women for decades under the guise of providing them with medical treatment.

A number of prominent athletes, including Olympians Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney, contributed to the downfall of the mentally disturbed doctor by making public their shocking allegations of sexual abuse.

Nassar was sentenced to several hundred years in prison after pleading guilty in three trials to sexually abusing young female athletes and possessing child pornography.
