Officials identify man who crashed and died in Spanish Fork after alleged incident of aggression while driving

SPANISH FORK – Authorities have released the identity of the man who crashed into a tree and died in Spanish Fork last month following an alleged incident of driving aggression.

On April 26 at approximately 2:15 a.m., Spanish Fork Police received a 911 call about an “aggressive driver.” The caller told police that another driver was following him and attempted to ram his vehicle.

According to police, an officer attempted to stop the driver, but he fled the scene. When the officer caught up with the fleeing vehicle, he found that it had struck a large tree in front of a residence at 500 N. 400 East.

The officer rendered medical aid, but the driver died at the scene. Police later identified the driver as Calvin Zakery Grace, 27, of Springville.

The Utah County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
