35-year-old Worcester man arrested in stabbing investigation

WORCESTER – Police arrested a local man on Saturday, May 25, in connection with a stabbing earlier this month.

Joseph Erb, 35, of Worcester was arrested on a warrant in connection with an afternoon stabbing on Chandler Street.

Police responded to the lower Chandler Street area around 3:30 p.m. on May 2 after a report of an assault with a dangerous weapon.

When the first officer arrived on the scene, he found a man suffering from stab wounds. The officer provided medical aid until the man was transported to a local hospital.
