Lebanon: Six Iraqis arrested for raping Syrian minors

ALBAWABA – Lebanese security forces announced on Sunday that they had arrested six people on Hamra Street in Beirut for sexual crimes against minors.

Local Lebanese media published excerpts from a raid by the Information Department on an apartment on Al-Lubban Street in Hamra, Beirut, last night, which led to the arrest of six Iraqis for sexually abusing several minors.

In addition, an investigation into the case and those arrested was launched based on the information provided by the judiciary, without any official comment from Lebanon or Iraq on the incident.

No further details about the case have been released so far, but many assume that the minors who were sexually abused were all Syrians and that the police found some of them in the apartment during the raid on Saturday evening.
