State police investigate drowning in pond in Donegal Township

Westmoreland County Coroner Confirms Body Recovered from Pond

State police and the Westmoreland County coroner were called to the scene Friday of the incident, which police said appeared to be an accident. Sky 4 flew over the area near Rock Canyon Road in Donegal Township. The body of 58-year-old Glenn White of Rochester, Beaver County, was recovered from a pond on a farm where White and his wife were visiting family, coroner Tim Carson said. It appeared to be an accident, Carson said. He said the cause and manner of death would be officially determined after an autopsy. State police from Greensburg are investigating. Police said they would issue a statement by Saturday.

The investigation is being conducted by state police in Greensburg. Police said they will issue a statement by Saturday.
