ATLANTA — As Memorial Day weekend travel gets underway, the Transportation Security Administration expects new daily travel records at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

The TSA Southeast Region says its agents screened more than 107,000 passengers between midnight and 10 p.m. Thursday.

“We have a new single-day screening record @ATLairport! As of 10 p.m., we have screened more than 107,000 passengers! And we’re still going… we’ll have a total in the morning,” a rep posted on X.

The new record won’t hold for long, with the TSA predicting Friday’s numbers will surpass Thursday’s.
