Teen killed in head-on collision with semi-truck in Ohio

WARREN COUNTY, Ohio – A 17-year-old boy was killed in a head-on collision with a semi-trailer in southwest Ohio early Thursday morning.

According to OSHP, the semi-trailer was traveling south on I-71 while the 17-year-old was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee north in the southbound lanes.

The vehicles collided head-on and left the road, causing the semi-trailer to overturn.

The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

OSHP is investigating the crash.
