FSIS issues a public health alert

Certain Greater Omaha Packing Co. ground beef products may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7, which can cause serious illness. These products are no longer available for purchase, but chances are you still have some in your freezer.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Products: Ground beef made on March 28, 2024 with a “Use/Freeze By” date: April 22, 2024 and packing date from “032824”. A full product list can be found here: link removed.

  • Search: Company number “EUROPEAN SUMMER TIME. 960A“ within the USDA inspection mark.

  • do not eat these products. Throw them away or return them to the store.

  • Gastronomy locations: Do not serve these products.

Symptoms of E. coli O157:H7

Serious complication: Hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) can cause:

  • Minor bruising

  • Pale skin

  • Decreased urination

Seek medical attention immediately if you notice these symptoms.
