$100,000 worth of damage in vandalism incident in West Philly: Police

PHILADELPHIA – A vandalism incident in West Philadelphia resulted in approximately $100,000 in damage, according to police.

The vandalism occurred in the late morning hours of May 1 at the Olympic Tower Apartments in West Philadelphia’s Walnut Hill neighborhood, police said.

According to police, ten people broke the windows on the first floor of the complex and threw glass bottles filled with purple paint onto the facade.

Most of the suspects wore masks and were dressed entirely in black, police said.

Damage is estimated at $100,000.
