Postville driver caught after hit-and-run accident

ELDORADO – A Postville man has been successfully identified as the driver of a hit-and-run crash near Eldorado Hill.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that 19-year-old Jackson Wedo was arrested for allegedly fleeing the scene of an accident and driving too close after rear-ending a car on July 9.

The other driver had braked because of a tractor and was then hit by a car driving away.

The driver could not be located at this time.

After reviewing several clues, officers determined that Wedo’s vehicle had damage and paint chippings consistent with the accident.
