The angry McDonald’s customer who allegedly shot lawyer Jeffrey Limmer after he asked him to stop shouting at staff has been named as police continue to search for him.

Limmer tried to calm him down, and as they argued outside the store, the angry man went to his car, pulled out a gun and shot the lawyer twice.

The shooter then fled the scene in an early 2000s blue Ford pickup. Police were called to the scene and found Limmer unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Landry reportedly has a lengthy criminal record and was out on $10,000 bond for aggravated assault at the time of the shooting.

He hit a family member with a stick in February, causing bodily harm, the New York Post reports, citing court documents.

His court appearance was scheduled for May 10.

According to reports, Landry previously faced multiple criminal charges for crack cocaine possession, felony eluding, and forgery.

Limmer was an associate at the Lewis Brisbois law firm in Houston after attending the University of Texas and then completing law school at the South Texas College of Law.

His family said in a statement obtained by Fox 26 Houston that they hope their loved one’s killer is arrested and that justice is served.

“Our family is relieved to learn that the suspect has been identified and we pray that he is arrested as soon as possible so that he cannot hurt anyone else.”

“In addition, we pray for the safety of law enforcement as they work to bring him to justice.”

“We thank the community for your overwhelming love and support and ask that you respect our privacy as we mourn the loss of our dear Jeff.”
