Extensive crime scene investigation underway in Lowell

An investigation is underway in Lowell in the early morning hours. Police have cordoned off a large area in front of a Hindu temple. An employee of a nearby business told WCVB’s Brianna Borghi at the scene that while reviewing security cameras, they saw what she described as fireworks, and that several cars were speeding into and out of the parking lot when police arrived around 5 a.m. An event with about 200 people is scheduled to take place at the temple on Saturday, but it is currently unclear how long the investigation will take. Investigators focused their attention on a black sedan in the parking lot that appeared to have several bullet holes in the side. In Lowell, investigations are ongoing in the early morning hours; police have cordoned off a large area in front of a local Hindu temple.

An employee of a nearby business told WCVB’s Brianna Borghi on the scene that while reviewing security cameras, they saw what she described as fireworks, and that several cars were racing in and out of the parking lot when police arrived around 5 a.m. this morning.

An event with around 200 people is scheduled to take place in the temple on Saturday. However, it is currently unclear how long the investigation will take.

Investigators could be seen turning their attention to a black sedan in the parking lot that appeared to have several bullet holes in the side.
