Atlanta Dream goalkeeper Alisha Gray wins Friday night at Footprint

The 2024 WNBA All-Star Weekend kicked off Friday night at Footprint with a new format. Players competed in the annual skills challenge, 3-point contest and an exhibition game between Team USA 3×3 and Team USA U23.

Hours before the 2024 WNBA All-Star Skills Challenge began, Indiana Fever guard Erica Wheeler announced via Instagram that she would be unable to travel to Phoenix after her flight was canceled. Instead, teammate Kelsey Mitchell, who will make her second WNBA All-Star appearance Saturday night at Footprint, performed in her place.
