Green County man arrested for sexual exploitation of children

SUMMERSVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) – A Green County man was arrested in connection with an investigation into child sexual exploitation.

The undercover investigation led by the organization Internet Crimes Against Children revealed the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material on the Internet via several social media platforms, according to a source available to WBKO.

The owner of the accounts in question was found to be 26-year-old Jamicah Sears. During a search of his Summersville home, Sears confirmed that the accounts belonged to him.

Electronic devices containing suspected child pornography were found in the apartment.

Sears is charged with distributing material depicting a minor in a sexual performance and possession of material depicting a minor in a sexual performance.

He was placed in the Taylor County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
