Following reports of incident in Westcliff, a huge contingent of rescue workers was seen

A large number of emergency services were seen following reports of an incident in Westcliff.

At least three ambulances and two police cars were seen on London Road at the junction with Hamlet Court Road this evening.

Several residents described a “very serious incident” on Facebook, as a result of which part of the street was closed to residents.

The car park at the top of Hamlet Court Road was cordoned off by emergency services and police prevented residents from entering the area.
