I-75 southbound remains closed at CR 234 after violent incident on the highway

MICANOPY, Fla. – As of 10:30 p.m., southbound I-75 at mile marker 374 (CR 234, Micanopy) has been closed for over 3.5 hours. According to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol, the closure is due to a previous incident of violence on the highway. Motorists should use alternate routes until further notice.
