The FBI and Secret Service are investigating the possible motive of the shooter on Sunday, opened fire during former President Donald Trump’s rally, touch the ear of the former president and a passerby died.

Snipers “neutralized” Suspect Thomas Matthew Crookswho was from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, not far from the site of Trump’s rally in Butler County.

According to law enforcement sources, Crooks was spotted by passersby shortly before the incident and reported to officers. Officers briefly lost sight of the suspect. Minutes later, he crawled up the side of the shed, “jumped” onto the roof and immediately began shooting, officers said. The suspect fired 6-8 shots from an AR-15 style weapon about 120 yards from the podium.

He spoke again Sunday afternoon, calling for unity and expressing gratitude that Trump is doing well. Biden also said he would address the nation from the Oval Office at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday night.

On his social media platform Truth Social, Trump declared on Sunday morning that it was “God alone who prevented the unthinkable.”

“We pray for the recovery of those injured and keep in our hearts the memory of the citizen who was so cruelly killed,” he wrote. “At this moment, it is more important than ever that we stand united and show our true character as Americans, remain strong and determined, and not allow evil to win.”
