Huron police said an ongoing incident this morning in the southwest part of the city no longer poses a threat to the public.

Authorities have arrested a Pennington County rape suspect in Minnehaha County.

A Brookings man was taken to a hospital in Hendricks, Minnesota, after an accident in Brookings County.

It was a warm day across much of KELOLAND. Temperatures were close and slightly above normal. Southwest South Dakota was slightly cooler due to thicker cloud cover with light showers. We are watching a few thunderstorms move into south-central and southwest South Dakota.

According to the Hamlin County Sheriff’s Office, a high-speed accident occurred west of Lake Norden over a week ago.
