Sketch says he considered taking his own life when sexual images leaked

Sketch tells his fans about his “dark” past (Twitch)

Content creator Sketch has confirmed that the sexually explicit images of him that surfaced on social media this weekend are real, calling it “a dark time.”

Livestreaming sensation Sketch, who only had 33,000 followers on Twitch last December but now has an incredible 1.1 million followers, has confirmed that the sexually explicit images of him with another man are real.

The pictures surfaced on social media over the weekend with fans unsure whether it was him or not, but Sketch has now confirmed they are real.

Addressing fans on his Twitch channel, Sketch said it was “a dark time” and that he would consider taking his own life if the images ever surfaced. But even though that has now happened, fans and other content creators have expressed their support.

“I’ve struggled with some addiction issues. A few. (…) Yes, I did. I messed up. I won’t do it again,” Sketch told his fans.

“But seriously, I’ve been living with the threat that this could come out for about two years,” he said, adding:

“I started using social media and just messing around, which I’ve done in the past. I tell you what, a heavy weight was lifted off my shoulders. God is good. Always.”

He said it was “a dark time” in his life, but explained that others rescued him when he began to cry.

“I’ll be honest, plan A, and I’ll be upfront about it, was probably to quit if this ever came out, but some people saved me. Shoutout (FaZe) Banks, shoutout my parents, shoutout all of you. I messed up, but I’m changed.”

“My original plan was… there are two possibilities. First, either I’m delusional and think it’ll never come out. Or second, what was the plan after that? The plan after that wasn’t very good. If I was alone and at home, I probably wouldn’t be talking to you right now.

“But people like FaZe Banks in particular and my friends that I have met over the last few years came and saved me,” Sketch said.

Since Sketch confirmed the authenticity of the images, other content creators such as FaZe Banks, Hasan Abi, Ludwig and FaZe Kaysan have expressed their support on Twitter.

“Sketch is a legend. He handled it better than anyone could have in that situation. He was always kind, genuine and humble to everyone, including me,” FaZe Kaysan said on Twitter, adding:

“We saw him last night after everything came out and watched the videos. This kid is a fighter. We stand behind Sketch.”

Sketch ended the short stream after saying he would be back online soon, sometime in the next few days.

“But I would prefer if you knew my mistakes, that makes it easier,” concluded Sketch.
