1. Ramblin’ Reck’s carbon-neutral garage

Did you know that Georgia Tech’s iconic Ramblin’ Reck, a 1930 Ford Model A, has its own high-tech garage on campus?

Designed by Atlanta-based Square Feet Studio, the 1,000-square-foot pavilion is both a maintenance center and an exhibit for vintage vehicles.

The award-winning facility was designed as a net-zero energy building that produces more energy than it consumes. A six-foot-high roof provides natural lighting, protection from direct sunlight and a discreet location for solar panels.
