Two-vehicle accident on Highway 5 with one injured

On June 27, a two-vehicle accident occurred on Highway 5 within the city limits of Pine Hill.

A white 2021 Infinity Q50, driven by Shanetta Agee of Pine Hill, was traveling south on Highway 5 when it was struck from behind by a white 2015 Ford Taurus, driven by Derrica Johnson of Jackson.

Agee was taken to Grove Hill Memorial Hospital and later released after medical treatment for minor injuries.

Johnson said neither she nor any of the three children with her were injured.

The Alabama Electric and Gas Company arrived on site to repair the property damage.
