UPDATE: Two people arrested for accidental shooting of 6-year-old boy in Wabasha County last week – ABC 6 News

(ABC 6 News) – On Tuesday, the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office reported that two people were arrested in connection with the accidental shooting of a 6-year-old boy who was subsequently hospitalized.

The two people arrested are Raymond Tony Duque and Nicole Lynn McGee.

Duque is charged with possession of a firearm – conviction of a violent crime -, three counts of endangering a child by accessing firearms and negligent storage of loaded firearms – which a child could have access to.

McGee is charged with three counts of endangering a child by accessing firearms and negligent storage of loaded firearms accessible to a child.

These arrests are the result of an incident that occurred on June 25 in Elgin. A loaded shotgun was left unsecured in a motor vehicle and a six-year-old boy was accidentally shot while two other children were also in the vehicle. The boy remains hospitalized, but his condition is unknown.
