Fatal motorcycle accident on Freeway 8 in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA (July 1, 2024) – One person died in a motorcycle crash on the 8 Freeway near College Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Friday around 7 p.m. For unknown reasons, a motorcyclist lost control on Freeway 8 and crashed west of College Avenue.

CHP officers subsequently arrived and closed the four left lanes to investigate the incident. Authorities did not release any information about the fatality, including his name. However, if anyone has any additional information about the incident, please call the CHP.
