ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery Police launch homicide investigation after shooting victim dies

UPDATE ON ACTION 8: A man who was shot in Montgomery on Monday evening has now succumbed to his injuries.

According to police, 67-year-old Holloway Vason of Montgomery was shot around 7:15 p.m. Monday in the 3400 block of Woodley Road, just south of the beltway.

Vason was taken to a hospital for treatment but died on Thursday, police said late Friday evening.

The police have launched a murder investigation.
