MERCED, CA (June 28, 2024) – One person was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Main Street near H Street.

According to Merced police, the hit-and-run accident occurred Tuesday afternoon. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a pedestrian in the 100 block of West Main Street. The driver then left the scene without rendering aid to the victim, who sustained unknown injuries.

Shortly thereafter, Merced police officers arrived and learned that the driver had driven away. At this time, they would appreciate the help of witnesses in identifying the suspect involved.
