Slaton ISD mourns school police officer

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Slaton Independent School District mourns the loss of school police Officer Dave Smith.

Slaton ISD said it is grateful for Smith’s service to the school district. The district expressed its condolences and said the community is praying for Smith’s family, friends and the school.

“Rest in peace, Mr. Smith,” the district said.
