Accident on Florida’s Turnpike in Cutler Bay – NBC 6 South Florida

Police closed southbound lanes on Florida’s Turnpike in Cutler Bay Sunday morning after a fatal crash.

According to police, the accident occurred around 2:15 a.m. near Mile 12 and involved two vehicles.

The driver and passenger of one of the vehicles were taken to Jackson South Hospital, where the passenger later died, FHP confirmed.

Cameras captured a heavy police presence near the Eureka Road exit. The video also showed two damaged cars that appeared to be involved in the crash, one of which was heavily damaged.

This happened just hours after another fatal accident on the Turnpike in southwest Miami-Dade on Saturday evening.
