According to the Indiana public court records system, Kirksy is charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery, two Level 3 felonies. Bollman has also been preliminarily charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery, two Level 3 felonies.

APD reported that investigators currently believe Kirksy arranged a drug deal between Patrick Day of Avon and Samual Oliver of Plainfield. Oliver and Day were the two people killed in the shooting.

Police found one of the men dead on Glensford Drive. The other was taken to a local hospital where he eventually died. Police did not release any information about which person was found dead at the scene.

Police also said Bollman gave Day a gun before the shooting. FOX59 and CBS4 previously reported that the fatal shooting may have been the result of a botched drug deal.

The shooting was Avon’s first homicide since 2022.
