Beware of counterfeit money – The Morning Sun

Clare residents and businesses are warned to be on guard against counterfeit money.

In recent days, numerous counterfeit banknotes have been in circulation in Clare and surrounding communities, the Clare Chamber of Commerce said in a social media post on Thursday morning.

“Local businesses have received some counterfeit money,” the chamber said.

“It appears to be bills in the $20 and $100 range, but I don’t rule out other bills either.”

They also shared a picture of one of the counterfeit $20 bills.
